First Ltd silver

gmanlight

New member
First silver and oldest US silver and i almost took her head off. Four feet from there my first eagle button.
This site is small . 7 or eight years ago a hunting bud found a bunch of silver here but in the last
2 or 3 years hit with 3 or 4 hunters no silver has been found here Hunting in boost mode 3H sen 88 disc of 6
five or six inches down sounded by iron.

Thats great, but what was it, got a pic?

Yep those LTD's can find it for sure..

Very good finds......hh......Dan

I have had my F75 for 2 years . The LTD landed the other day , Last night i went out for the first time.
Said to self i will show this who's boss .
Cranked it up with 11DD coil and only found a nickle and got a little frazzled.
So tonight went with 5in DD and said lets ease in here.
First repeatable and bingo. My oldest US silver.

AWESOME Dude, anit those sitting Ladies pretty. Nice find.

Nice one gman. Those will get the heart pumping a little. I've dinged 2 silvers the last few days myself as the result of bone dry dirt. Good find. HH jim tn

So that is a digger bite on the pretty silver? Oh well, stuff happens. Some of the dirt around here is solid iron ore red clay and like a baked brick. Having to dig so hard makes it real easy to put a bite into the target. Great finds, regardless!!!

Nice score gman!!

Question for you - how deep was it, and did you ever hunt the site with your legacy F75 using the 5" coil?

HH,
Brian

Brian it was 5 to 6 inches deep. but i forgot to check it in DE mode.
I have hunted with Reg 75 and 5 In coil a few times but there is a phone pole about 25 feet away
so i drop the sens the reg F75 The LTD ran more stable in boost mode with higher settings.

Went back tonight and got one Indian head in boost , it was iffy in DE mode.
and last target under the power lines did bounce 20s to 40s in boost
was a no dig in DE mode, a small cal brass shell no big deal but with out boost i would have
walked over it.

I believe you'll find more there.
:yikes:
