This is my first post on this forum. I own a f5 machine that I bought from my brother known as wv62 on this forum. I love this detector, the only problem l've ever had was it would not pick up a silver dollar laying right on top of the ground,sent it back to fisher labs and they fixed it free of charge. The model I have is known as 1st generation which had a factory defect,if you own a f5 you may want to test yours. Anyway my best find so far has been a silver 1/2 dollar dated 1936 buried about to inches,also have found 3 silver quarters,10 silver dimes and a truck load of junk. My two brothers and started hunting wooded areas this fall and that's where we found the silver coins, Get in the woods!

Welcome to the forum. Great to see you are enjoying the hobby. Most detectors are only as good as the user. Lots of great finds have been made with very low end detectors. Good luck and start posting photos of some of your finds, I would love to see them.

Greg and I have our own nick names that was handed down to us by a senior employee over 35 years ago, that would "Julio"

Julio, big brother and I hit the wooded area today and it wouldn't give up any silver,
Ron got one memorial cent and one clad quarter,
I got one Wheat penny and one swiss army pocket knife. I got the Wheat from the same little flat area Ron got those stacks of Wheat's that were corroded together..

Just how many Badger Bros are there? Are there any Badger Sisters? There wont be any old silver left in this area after this BadgerBros outfit gets through! Nice finds there, SL52! Those old silver halfs are pretty sweet!:clapping: Welcome here and Congratulations on your finds!:clapping:

The oldest ball headed badger brother here (Ron wv62). There are only 3 of us brothers, we finally got Greg on the forum when he got a new smart phone. Greg is all about silver, and Mark and myself will hunt about any coins and jewelry.

Greg was running a BH that I picked up at a yard sale until last year when I bought a F5 and decided to resale it because I had the F75 and didn't need it. Well brother Greg bought it and it turned him into a silver monster.
