I posted this on the beach and water forum already but I wanted to pass around the joy!
This little ring came out of an old pond that's seen a lot of activity since ~1900. Tiny little thing but really pretty. Sterling with a birth stone. Pretty sure it's a baby ring. The cut of the band and the engraved morning glory are indicative of ~1900 sometime. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="

Wild to think that since this ring slipped from an wading infants hand, it has laid untouched in the sand, while the child has grown and lived a full life, and most likely passed away.
