Hi, went to my favourite old park today, found about 10 old pennies and half pennies (1900's) not shown still undergoing cleaning, found a few miscellaneous objects, and old cold cream jar top looks like could be from the 50's, little christian prayer charm not in picture (forgot to take one) of course some lead, and other bits and bobs, and a bag of rubbish cans, tabs etc, any way back to the silver, it is a silver medal , for a local football (soccer) team on the front the picture is the Liverpool liver bird, emblem of this city, around the edge it says "Liverpool central amateur league" on the back it says t.c.buckley, wavertree utd,
1925-26, it is hall marked at the top the marks are, an anchor, lion facing left, and the letter a, i don't know what these mean, even the chain links are hall marked except for the very top one, hope to return there soon, but tomorrow weather permitting i am going to the fort at new Brighton across the river Mersey, it has been there since Napoleon times,so i will let you know how i get on, thanks for looking.... p.s sorry about pictures but i've tried for ages to get them to be the ones you click and they enlarge but it wont work for me. :surrender:
