First silver on the UK journey.

I was frustrated not finding any silver! We worked the fields for hours and hours with the Etracs using Ultimate coil, stock, and 6x8 SEF.But no silver...hmm.
Went back to the car and started up the Xterra 705 with 5X10" went out on the same field I found the gold coin, but this was the day before.

On the higher middle of the field I got a signal and the reading of a solid 28 on the Terra. It was a clear signal.I felt this is not the ordinary bits and bobs due to the signal.
I dug and 5" deep I got the object up on ground. It was in the clod.I worked it and could see that I finally found what I had been longing for.A silver coin.Unfortunaly it was hit by something and a little bit bended.

Still it is a silver.Like the patina of the silver coins. This was not very old UK wise but to me finding a silver coin from 1684 is absolutely fantastic.
The coin is a Charles II sixpence 1684. And my settings was as usual, all metal, sens 28,multi tone,29 on volume, treshold at 8.

So even if we didnt find any treasure at the rainbows end,at least a silver was recovered.Another great hunt in England.

Mike

PS:the rainbow image is not a fake.No photoshop,no editing.

Wait a minute!
Didn't you find gold at the end of that rainbow?

Plow hit or not, that's a great find Mike. :clapping:
And that rainbow pic should be submitted to MineLab in a story about your whole trip, sovereign and all.

Nicely done Mike. Finding a silver coin from the 1600's is something that many of us (State-side) can only dream about. Congrats on the recovery and thanks for posting the beautiful pics. HH Randy

Bent or not I was be thrilled to find that congrats on a awsome coin.

Thanks!

Sitting here wondering how to display the finds the best way.Like to look at them, brings back a lot of good memories.
Maybe the Lindner Nimbus frames could be a cool way to display the objects.
