[size=large]As far as I know, I was the only dealer that got a T-2 LTD that had a problem...It worked fine but the display would go off and on... anyway Teknetics sent me a Fed-Ex pick-up... I shipped it last Tuesday evening.. I got it back this morning.. overnight both ways... These folks are working hard and they deserve a "pat on the back".. thanks Service Department, First Texas... I was impressed when I sent my F4 to FT. I had it back in a week too. It was fixed and works better than when I bought it.

At least 2 of the UK batch of 35 didnt work ,perhaps they didnt like our weather !!!

Not to take anything away from 1st. Texas but do you think they gave you better service knowing you are a dealer Richard. Always good hearing positive things like this. Steve.
 
First Texas did a wonderful job repairing my F5.

It was an unusual problem, Dave Johnson got involved personally and my detector came back working better than it ever did.

They also went the extra mile to fix something I hadn't sent it in for - replacing my foam hand grip.

Felix in customer service was also great to deal with and very helpful in getting my detector fixed.

I'm certainly not a dealer and FT gave me phenomenal service.

Good customer service is, of course, good for business. When I finally broke down and decided to drop the big $ on the F75 LTD, a big factor swaying my decision was knowing I could count on FT's repair service for five years of free repairs when I have a problem.

Notice I said "when" and not "if". I try to take reasonably good care of my equipment. But take sensitive electronic equipment and add heat, cold, dirt, mud, rain, snow, etc. and no matter how well designed or built, sooner or later that detector is going to need repair.

I agree wholeheartedly with Richard, First Texas Service is Awesome! :thumbup:

just a matter of your opinion. What I questioned was your statement he was their #1 dealer.

You may be correct, (I said that), that he is a good dealer. I don't know that, but I do know he's not First Texas #1 dealer.
 
I agree. I needed a foam arm pad for an F75. Obviously this is not an item they are making a killing on, and a lot of big companies would just lose you in the shuffle and not care unless you are handing them a check for big $$$ (and we've all had had that happen to us I'm sure). They went out of their way to make sure I got the right thing, and make sure I got it. They didn't do it because they are going to Vegas on what I gave them for it, they did it just to maintain great customer service, which is smart because that pays off in the long run. It does influence what company you buy from, I recently bought a Coinstrike new in the box, with the 5 year warranty, and part of what influenced me to spend a few more bucks as opposed to a used one (though I still got a great deal) was I know from experience that FT stands behind their stuff and has great service and will be there to help if I need it.

So I'd say they deserve the praise. They did nothing but try very hard to help me (and succeeded). I honestly like most of the detector makers and their products, but I currently only have detectors from FT and those are the only ones I'm considering for the future. Smart business guys, keep up the good work.

I received the detector back from FT. They even called me to check on the detector. It works fine. I haven't been able to go out with it yet but it is fine in the house and the screen stays on No matter what I do to it. The screen went out only when I would swing it. I guess a loose wire in the handle. You could still hear everything but couldn't see anything on the screen to hunt or adjust anything. Frank was very pleasant on the phone when I talked to him. Great Service.
