Ok, the new Ace 250 is coming in about 2 weeks.I preordered two.
I compared the features of the Ace 250 with the features of the Whites Prizm IV.You can't compare it with the Prizm II or III because the new Ace 250 has even more features than the Prizm IV.
And the Garrett is just 249 $ msrp compared 449 $ to the Prizm IV. 200 $ less !!!!

The open Proformance coil can be better for hunting in water, because no air is in the coil. It's easyer to pinpoint with an open coil.
You can buy a battery charger with 4 NIMHs for the garrett that will charge the batteries in under 1 hour at walmart.
I don't know of a charger like that for 2 9 volts NIMH.
Ok, i don't know yet how the garrett will perform in the field, but i bet it will be as good as the competition.I let you guys know when it gets here.
For now it looks like Garrett made a better detector for 200$ less than the competiton.
And there is no need for the guys who want to spend 250$ for a detector to go to walmart and buy a BH.
I am impressed,
Andy

Keep us posted on your progress Andy. Sounds like the new 250 will be a winner.
