I would like to share my best find to date for the year with you all. In a recent trip to the local school yard I ran into another guy who was already hunting there. I walked up and introduced myself and told him that i was also out hunting for coins with my trusted Garrett. He welcomed me to join him and I gladly accepted. I fired up my machine and moved down to the other end and worked my way towards where he was detecting. Finding a few clad coins I soon received a phone call from the wife and with that ended my days hunt.Before leaving he gave me a card for the club he belongs to with him number and told me to give him a call if he wanted someone to hunt with. ...... now are you asking what was his best find for the year.... answer is .. a fellow treasure hunter, someone to share my stories with, a friend.
But there is more to the story. i get a call from my new friend and he tells me about these other guys at this park and they are finding some silver coins.he invites me to join them, and i did. I arrived at the park before he does and I see about 8 people swinging their detectors.I park my car and I walk up to the first person and I again introduce myself and I tell him about the phone call from my new friend and i I ask him if he knows him. He replies that he does and he asks me if i do any hunting. I told him yes.He asked if i had my detector with me and I told him that I did and he offered me to join them. Within minutes the others had formed a circle and i introduced myself to them all. after a few minutes of talking we were all off hunting. after a few hours of hunting it was time to call it quits. so not only did i find a new hunting friend , i was offered to join their club and oh yea the diamond ring I found wasn't bad either.. I enjoyed my day with the guys from "Michigan Treasure Hunters"
