first time out and...

not much...but i did find my first wheat of the year. was out for about an hour and a half or so and found a bunch of square nails. i have detected this field several times and i keep finding more and more nails :angry: , but i guess you have to dig through the junk sometimes to find the good stuff. i finally got a good signal that was right on top of the dirt. i was waiting all day for it and i scraped away the dirt to see a coin sitting there. it's nothing that great, but it made my day. plus, it was better than sitting at home on such a sunny day. the only drawback of detecting in a field was that the dirt was pretty wet, feeling like cinder blocks on my feet every time i walked and swung the coil. oh well, better than nothing! thanks for looking and good luck!
