First time out with my X-Terra 70 :clapping:

I have had my 70 for a couple of years and had never taken it out. So I made plans and headed to Arizona around the Stanton area and gave it a try.
Besides lots of trash this was the only gold I found but I was very happy to find it.
Hope to get a chance to try here in California and find some more.

There was a lot of trash in the area I was in. I only was able to find the one piece, but I didn't spend a lot of time detecting as I spent a lot of time with the ATV exploring. I let my brother use it and he only came up with a buckle from some horse tack.

The signal was very loud, it was different then the trash and hot rocks that I had been hitting on.

gday jaybrom, just wondering if your gold specimen was at any depth?
Ive owned a 705 for over 12 months now and our goldfields are way too mineralised (hot) here for the 705 to even have a chance at finding gold. Some places i pull a lot of lead bullets up to 4 inches, which proves the 705 will indeed find gold but other places id have no hope unless it was extremely shallow ground.
Yes im new to this forum but ive been using xterra 30 and 705 for the past 3 years.

I do awesome on coin on the beach/paddocks etc, and do wonderful with relics from goldfields but no gold unless i pan it, lol.

any tips would be brilliant!
