Okay here is the debut of our digital camera. We are including a shot of our finds for the month. Anna and I both have Garret 250's and also share a Detectorpro Headhunter pirate for water hunting. The finds include the following:
Rings along the top: far left is an old home made copper ring, you can see the seams on it, next is a toe ring, next is a costume ring, then two sterling silver rings, far right is a dragon design. the ring on the paper clip is our first gold ring, 10k ladies wedding band. Rings at bottom are kiddie rings, find alot of those.
Pennies are the wheaties, 1948,1958 and 1937. The fourth penny is 1957 Canadian.
The quarter is 1951, first silver quarter.
The dragon pendant was found in the water, Mike from MI says it is not silver, some kind of potable metal.
Water finds include the hoop earrings, fishing hook, tweezers, sinkers, little butterfly earring and hand full of clad not pictured. The railroad spike was found in 4' of water no where near any railroad tracks or retaining walls.
Rest of the items were found in playgrounds or schoolyards.
Necklace Anna found on the beach. It is from Avon, not silver but still kind of pretty.
The door stop I found in the middle of a school yard, a fair distance away from the building.
We have had so much fun the summer detecting together and with new friends, wished we had started sooner.
