First time out with the Explorer II.

What can I say, the Explorer II is amazing! It surpassed my expectations, it was so stable, smartfind is great it locked in place with great accuracy, the ability to make a disc. Pattern made me enjoy my day at this really trashy park even more, pinpointing is really easy being a double DD, and the X-1 probe? Simply amazing. I didn't make any find worthy of posting, but the park is from 1980 so you need to understand you won't find much here, but it is a great place to test the detector. I had it setat Fast & Deep recovery both on being a really trashy park, and I have to admit, the Explorer Excelled through trash greatly with the 10.5" coil and the 5" EXcelerator was really great too, I found a clad dime at a measured 10" right next to an iron glob. the heavy & constant rains here have pushed lots of targets really deep. Well, what can I say, I'm really impressed, never had I seen such a versatile detector.

Funny thing, I was going to get a DFX instead of the Explorer about a month before I purchased my Explorer, that would've been a mistake. Maybe I'll buy one for a backup when I get the money, but for now Explorer all the way!
