I took delivery of a very slighty used T 2 last Fri. and with everything going on over the weekend, plus lots of rain, this morning was the first chance I had to try it out.
I opted to give it a good test on a very trashy and pounded hard site that I personally have hunted very hard with my F 75. I set it up much like I do with my 75, de mode, disc. 6, sen. 90 and 3 tones. That set up for me was fine. For some, it might have a little more chatter then they would like. The first 2 targets that I dug were 82-83 readings and were both pre 82 Memorials, about 4." My 3rd target locked on 88 and showed a depth of 7." After flipping over the clod, right in the bottom of the hole, laying flat, was a silver quarter...a 1938. Pulling out a little tape measure I often carry, the depth of the quarter was a flat 7." I was impressed, to say the least. That was the only silver, but I did get 1 wheatie, 2 nickels that locked on 57 and 58 at depths of 4" and 5," 3 clad dimes, 1 clad quarter and a cap gun without the barrel. One of the clad dimes and clad quarter were in the same hole, about 2 or so inches apart and the T 2 id'ed them both. These coins were in the 5-6" depth range.
For this first outing, I like everything about the T 2. It hit every target hard, id's great and has the same wonderful target separation as does my F 75. I do wish it saved the last settings, but I can live without that feature. The T 2 is a keeper! HH jim tn
