First time posting finds here... and some words on the Digger!

Dirt Hound

Hey guys... been around here for a while but never actually shared my finds :) Decided that now is the time! My hunting partner and I have been doing quite well at an old ghost town this season, and Friday was certainly no exception. Found my 2 oldest coins to date :) A couple of pre-confederation Canadian commercial tokens. We decided to grid a site with our small coils... set up marker flags and everything. I strapped on the Digger for it's first true test. Prior to this hunt, I had not found a coin with it (had only used it once or twice, briefly)... but decided this would be a good site to put it to the test. It passed with flying colors! This little coil is amazing... no other way to describe it! Adequate depth, and the separation is unreal. When you hit a coin, you KNOW it's a coin... the TID is so stable! Anyways, on with the finds!

This first one seems fairly uncommon, as most feedback I've had from others is that they've never seen one before :) Though... not really valuable by any means.

The seconds is one I've been hoping to find for quite a while :) Not in great shape, but I'll take it!

Also managed a couple silvers... 18?? Canadian quarter (very worn) and a 1900 Canadian dime. Also an 1917 Cdn large cent.

Thanks for looking!

Outstanding! Congratulations on the great finds! :clapping:

That little coil is without doubt one of the best things to happen for Xterra owners yet.

Agreed... Friday's hunt really inspired a lot of confidence in that little monster :) Going to use it every time we grid a site... which will probably be often!

Nice job! This is just the start!

I love my Digger coil too !! I have been hunting some curb strips lately and it is the perfect size and perfoms nicely. Congrats on your finds, those old tokens are really cool !!

Thanks guys :) I'll be sure to post more of my finds here from now on. My hunting partner and I are onto some really great, old sites here this season... wide open permissions on a ton of old ghost town land. We've combined for about 20 early-mid 1800's coins so far and a bunch of cool relics.... and we've barely even scratched the surface there :)
