First trip out with T2 SE Nel Storm Coil

Youngted

21st March took the Storm coil fitted to my Updated T2 SE to a well searched grass field that I have visited for the last 30 years. There was much more iron than I expected so in Boost I received multi signals I tried searching in 1+ that was better but much slower due to having to check the numbers on each signal. The the time that I had about 40 minutes couple of fragments of copper piece of lead and two real finds. The first a large Medieval iron buckle about 10" later a Victorian Army button with Victoria crown over VR not deep. So depth was not an issue on this outing. I will try again soon.

Brian, thanks for the initial feedback on this coil, what was the weight issue like ??? i had problems with my favourite large coil the SEF15x12 but was able to get the problem with the cable all sorted out and firing on all cylinders again.Must admit i really like the SEF as it is pretty light for its size.

Will look forward to how you get on with the NEL one in the future, the problem with large coils is the possibility of nulled signals sometimes but the plus side of using such a large coil is the abilty on pasture sites to get down to the really deep targets.

I found the weight no problem however I was not searching for a long period.Swung easy It may be a tad heaver than the stock coil.
