Finally had a chance to try one of the Ace 150's today because my sons went hiking with the boy scouts.
Found it very easy to use. Could enter a new area for the first time, which I've called "No PI Land" because there must be thousands of nails in the sand there and a pulse induction nightmare. Pulled a few coins out of there but was still kept busy with all the small broken pieces of bent pulltabs, so I moved back to my usual area. Hope to spend more time there in the future though because it is basically half of the beach (the top section) and no doubt has many goodies waiting for anyone putting in the time.
Pic - A few silver rings and various coins, including my first dime (1975) in Japan. The long thing at the top I almost threw away until I saw 925 stamped on it, not sure what it is though, maybe a hair clip.
A little pig, fish, button, plus pendant at bottom left of pic.
All-in-all an enjoyable time and certainly no toy of a detector either. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
