Fisher Coin$trike

Gently used Fisher Coinstrike with stock coil and cover. Excellent cosmetically. Works great. King of picking through very trashy sites for deeper coins amongst iron. I find I don't use it much because I don't care for the audio. $275 plus 1/2 of shipping cost

If I didn't have some really high medical bills ,and (I do mean high) right now, due to my wife's illness. I would be all over this one..

I don't blame you, I'm having C$ blues myself. I love the audio of this machine. Great deal on a great machine for sure. If I weren't leaving for the Islands in the next few days, I would want this myself.

It's a good model though it never was that popular sales wise maybe because Fisher was coming out with lots of models during the period that they made the Coinstrike. I'm taxing my memory and guessing the C$ was manufactured for maybe 3 years or so circa 2005. Where the C$ outshines others is in sites where there is a carpet of ferrous junk like old homesteads that never had trash collection. It is amazing at picking out even tiny or deeper bits of non ferrous amid nails. Many times it hit solidly on something like a brass rivet from jeans or .22 slug several inches deep that was surrounded by iron junk. These types of targets my Explorer would pass over with no hint to dig because the junk masked the target in the way the Explorer circuitry works. On silver the C$ hits harder and deeper than small brass rivets. Also the Explorer uses only DD coils while the C$ uses only concentric coils so the two different basic detection field types allowed me to clean out good sites much better; what one coil type missed the other type would pick up just due to the particular lay of the targets being either better suited to concentric or DD detection.

If the C$ had better audio I would keep it. It just don't like the harsh threshold/iron sound (though you can turn it off without affecting depth/sensitivity at all) and the 4 tone "good target" sounds are pretty lame to my ear. When I go out it's usually for 2+ hours and the C$ audio gets tiresome to me as I prefer the musicality of White's or Minelab.

yeah fishers sound like fishers and yep bit taxing but a lot of info once mastered in those sounds. wish I had some spare cash also.

Had one some yrs back i thought it worked best with the small 4 or 5 inch coil great in trash and depth was also very good.

No takers thus far. Last chance before it is off to ebay.

Recent ebay sales include $320 and $350 on this hard to find machine so I think that after their fees I can come out alright on ebay, but prefer to sell here if possible. Thanks for all those who commented and happy hunting.
