I actually just got this machine from Richard @ Backwoods. There is nothing wrong with it; I just also have a CZ-70 Pro that I like a little better than this CZ5. It's mostly the balance that I don't like; there is a big difference in the S rod of the CZ5 and the grip position of the CZ70. I like running a 10.5 inch coil and it is a wrist breaker on the CZ5. The CZ70 at least has a belt mount attachment with it, so it makes that 10.5 coil a breeze.
This particular unit was calibrated by Tom D. in February 2017. It has had the CZ3D spec conversion done on it, and is calibrated to a US Clad Dime at 11 inches with the 8 inch coil. I will say with the 10.5 inch coil (not included) it boosts it by an additional 2 inches. If your soil can handle running a CZ wide open, you are going to be very pleased with this unit's performance. It actually air tests better than my CZ70. It is a 1997 model. It's not a closet queen but it's in pretty good shape to be 20 years old and performs just as good and better than most current model machines on the market today. If you are nit picky, this one does have a little bit of a smoker smell to it. I don't smoke cigarettes or anything so I am really sensitive to smelling them...at one point, whomever owned this machine was a smoker though.
It has a printout manual, the report from Tom on his calibration, and Andy's book on the CZ machines.
Asking $400 shipped tyd PayPal in the US. Only detector I'm interested in trading on right now, would be a AKA Signum, and I would pay boot for that.
