Fisher CZ7a Pro metal detector for sale. Bought it new about 2001 but, for various reasons, used it less than 20 hours. This model avoids battery drain by saving the last use setting in software; and turns off back lighting at shutdown, to avoid it being on in a daylight startup. It has two 9V batteries instead of the 12 AAs used in prior models, to save weight; and three sound discrimination tones (high, low & medium) vs. four on the CZ70 Pro. Features include dual frequency (5 & 15MHz); notch discrimination to either ignore or accept various types of targets; a touch pad, digital screen control box that gives target I.D., depth and battery condition; a sound boost option that activates on faint targets only; an alert that activates when a large target overloads the detector; a Salt/Wet Beach setting; a submersible coil for shallow water hunting; and an all metal Autotune setting for use in black sand & high mineralization areas.
Before storage, the detector was shipped to Fisher to have all new detector tests run on it, and it passed with flying colors. It comes with the 8" spider coil (can use all CZ coils); manual (looks new): Fisher made web harness to wear the control box on your chest and only swinging the rod and coil; Koss TD81 earphones; and is like new condition, except for two small (about half the size of a pencil eraser) scuff marks on the digital screen face (do not obscure or affect any readings, purely cosmetic) and a few minor paint/coil scraches. If interested, please email rdmey@sbcglobal.net. The price is $390 shipped in CONUS via FedEx. Insurance extra. The manual is here: http://www.fisherlab.com/hobby/documents/cz-7apro.pdf
