Fisher F 75 SE Depth Issue ? Please help...Thanks.

Hey Guys, I purchased the non upgraded F 75 about six months ago and no matter how I tweak it it will only get a good repeatable
signal at about 6" max on us quarter in average soil. My ten year old garret ace 150 is able to match the fisher on depth. I am hoping I might
hear from some of you at to what type of depth you are getting on the new SE of the F 75 ?

Thanks,

Gene

I think your f-75 may need to go in for a check up .

It is pretty hard to compare depth of detectors when there is a lot of miles apart, so about all I can do is post my air test results on my F75Ltd before I had the upgrade done on it. So if you wanted to take the times you can air test yours using the same settings. Then you will know if your detector is somewhat the same as another.

Hope this helps,

Ron in WV

Hey Ron thanks so much for taking the time to reply and for the great job you did on the Chart. I am convinced that
is an issue with this unit and will be sending it in for a check up. From the data on the chart it appears that the Neil
coil made a significant difference. Which Neil coil was it ? The attack coil ? Do you lose much depth in soil ?

Thanks again, happy hunting,

Gene

Gene, what part of the country are you located? I concur that your F 75 needs a checkup. I've had three of them and all could nicely hit a dime with the small coil at 6" depth in my ground. HH jim tn

different coil and see what the results are. Do air and ground tests with it..

No insult intended.. Are you sure you are properly Ground Balanced... ???????
