FISHER F22

Was looking to pick up one of the Fisher F22 Detectors from Kellyco and wondered if anyone on the Forum has had the opportunity to use one. Originally I was looking at getting the Garret ACE250, but was told the Fisher would be the better detector for the money.... Only detectors that I have ever owned in the past were Bounty Hunter. I plan on just using it in the dry sand at South Beach since I've done a little research and the parks in Miami-Dade County have a "no metal detector" stance..... Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It's kinda tough .....the ace 250 has had many great finds....and there coming out with the ace 300 and 400 now.....however the F22 I did run for a short period of time and I did like it....and the F22 had lots off bells and whistles that are usual seen On more costly machines. I'm surprised nobody has posted to your question.. Seems like there's not alot of people using them. IMHO I felt like the f22 felt alittle cheap...mostly the plastics they used...but its performance was solid. I would take the F22 over the ace 250 any day. I wonder if there will be after market coils coming soon, if not already. My only other thought would be a tesoro....but I will leave that alone....sucks that you can't dig at the parks !

I own an F44 and it's a lot of machine for the money. The F22 is very similar and I have no problem with the build quality. All of the Greek series coils will fit the F22, and there are a lot to choose from. Leaps and bounds better than the Ace in my opinion.

The Ace is made a little sturdier. and it doesn't have cam locks. There is a site where you can watch both detectors go through the same exact test with a score card. Depth is first then a masking test. Keep in mind that the F22 is being tested with a concentric coil like the Ace. If you watch the Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro, you'll see better results as the 11" DD goes deeper and does better on masking. The F22/F44 should give the same results with a 11" DD.
