After taking my first beach trip I learned allot. One thing is the fisher F4 will not balance over ocean wet sand. That was a big dissapointment but I had plenty of dry sand to MD! I seen over 10 people MDing and somehow I dugged up some crazy finds. First crazy find was a gold token that turned out to be for a arcade, heart beating. Other finds included a brass water pressure regulator about 7inches down for a RV. Ton of pulltabs bottle caps and tent stakes. Another crazy find was a solid circle metal disc about the size of a .50 cent piece that was blank. Who knows what that was for. I found about 2 dollars in change and other random items. Nothing of complete value but had fun! Has anyone else found a way to search those wet ocean beaches with the F4? Thanks and search on!
Most of the guys head straight to the water, and work the wet sand inland for 50yards, but man, you work the high sand for some treasure and you will bloody find it! Those tent stakes are of some interest, means somebody had a pop-up there for to spend the hole day under..the bottle caps can tell you a lot about the people that were there too, and how much they drank...very important clue. The pulltabs are also a very good clue as to the presence of girls...and also that nobody hunted here, since pulltabs are right in the gold tones..stay up on the dry if that's what you have to do...don't worry about it, you would be surprised how little hunting the high dry gets. 2 dollars in change is more than most beach hunters find in a week hunting the wet! I hunt the high dry all the time and do a lot better up there than down on the main. Good Luck!
