Why dose my Fisher f5 chatter when ever I touch the coil wire where it plugs into the box. New detector first one did the samething.
HELP ME.
 
Wish I could definitively help you, Crusher.

You say you've had two F5's do the same thing. I'm assuming each detector had it's own unique coil, if you used the same coil on each detector it could be a loose connection where the coil connects to the control box.

I would suggest calling First Texas, describe the problem to them, get a repair number and send the unit (with any coil or coils) in for repair.
