How does the F5 compare to the F70 and F75 in useable depth? I love the features and layout. If it's comparable that would be great.

@MM Much deeper than the F2 and as per instructions quite deeper in "all metal" than in discrimination mode. Even in discrim' mode still can obtain depths much deeper than the F2. I think with the gain at only about 25% would be about the same as the F2. But as per instruction depth can be a factor of the %Fe[sub]3[/sub]0[sub]4[/sub] magnetic mineralization and also magnetic loss angle of the soil minerals.
the soil here in Perth Australia in the city is an easy soil for detectors. Not so much on the beach which changes from one end of the scale to the other as you go from the fluffy dry white sand down to the beaches wet edge.
I can do a few air tests if you want. we have a coin of the same alloy as the pound coins

Air tests would be nice. I remember some air tests on the F2 showed that it was pretty deep for an budget detector. I get about 10-11 inches on quarters and about 9-10 inches on clad dimes on my coin$trike with the sen all the way up. this is for clear repeatable and with good IDs.

I will do it on quarters and stop when the confidence bar only shows two off five squares, and the number is repeatable. In all metal with 99% gain and maybe discrim just to see what that is.
You yanks still working in inches? hahhahahahhhahahahhahahah

Yep! We're still using inches for the most part. Inches or centimeters if its treasure I don't care! For my export cars and RC helicopters I use metric.
