Hi,
I bought a Fisher f75se before this detector I had a tesoro vaquero. I need help with the learning curve. Can anyone give me some settings to try out. I have about 20 hours on it but still feel lost. Thanks in advance. Tom

Run it tame for a bit....like the factory pre set modes. What part of the country are you and what do you mainly hunt for...coins, relics, or both? HH jim tn

If you are going from a different machine to the F75 (regular OR LTD) ,use the factory defaults for a few weeks till you get the feel for it. Do a factory reset (turn the machine on while holding the trigger forward and pushing the red button) , and use it as it is. Dig EVERYTHING. You can only make connections between responses and what to expect to dig if you DIG it and make the comparison.
Dont rely in the TID exclusively. There are a number of subtle nuances that are more accurate. Pay attentions to the type of response.............FE304 meter (VERY effective on crown caps) and the signal strength. Try to remember that the audio and TID are processed separately. A fast swing will give you a more accurate TID....but a bit slower swing will give you better audio. Learn to use both to assess a target.
biggest thing is to give your brain time to get used to the machine. It will take time to "click".......but it WILL click....and you'll be GLAD you spent the time to learn it.
Dont worry about different settings right now. Learn its language first!

I read that somewhere on Nasa Dan's forum. Can you remind me how that works? FE304 spikes over a crown caps?
