Fisher ID Edge Extra Coils

I just purchased a used Fisher ID Edge. I was led to believe that no other coils were available for it. Apparently there are. What is and where can I get them?

That is a GOOD question. First of all what size coil do you have?

Second you can find them, just have to look around. The Edge has a 10.5" spider and an 8" available . I am sure someone here knows how to modify coils from other Fishers.

I have the 10", 8", and 5" coils. The 8" is the best all purpose coil. The 10" covers more ground and goes 1" deeper for coins. The 5" gets 1.5" less depth than the 8" in air tests.

Sometimes used coils for the Edge comes across the forum classified! (but rare)
Most of the time you can find new ones on ebay!

10.5" 8" 5" (more really 5-1/2")

There is a Sun-Ray CS-5 on ebay right now, but the seller wants $179.00 LOL!
The CS stands for Coinstrike, but it comes with a adapter cable for use on the Edge.
The small Fisher coils are running about $95.00 on ebay (new).

I've read the 8" & 10.5" CZ coils will fit the Edge by removing one of the pins on the connector. Do a search and good luck. Edge is a decent detector.

Mr. Bill gave me a GREAT Deal on a 10.5 inch coil. You can't even gat a CZ coil that cheap off fleabay. I recomend him highly!!!
