Fisher Impulse and Florida Beaches

Please offer any advice!
For hunting gold, silver and clad coins in dry sand, wet sand, and shallow water on the Florida east coast (salt conduction only, no magnetite/black sand issue):
1. How does the IMPULSE perform for sensitivity and depth compared to a VLF like the CZ-20?
2. In general, is a PI preferred over a VLF for these areas?
3. is the Impulse primarily a "black sand" and/or underwater machine? Does it do well in these areas (Florida salt beaches)?
4. What significance is the high PPS rate on the Impulse?
5. What PI is recommended for this purpose for under $1000. (I have heard the Foster units are the best)
I basically need to decide if I will buy the CZ-20 or a PI machine (Impulse or better).

Impulse is known more as a dive detector, not sure sensitive is good enought for beach use, is not known to be a deep reading detector, Florida beaches are pretty clean when it comes to iron etc, will false on wave action ar water edge, in a word is not the best for beach period, go with CZ20, Minelabs or Eric Foster design--Goldquest, Head Hunter Pro P.I. Good Luck
