Fisher Impulse, buy or pass?

What is the group's opinion of the Fisher Impulse PI detector with the 10.5" coil?? I know Fisher discontinued the machine, but there are a few left. I would use a machine like this in both fresh water lakes in New England, and the ocean. Are there any tricks to getting the machines to work better? Anything that a potential buyer should know before plunking down some cash for one of these units? Thanks.

Will Do. I have not used the machine in a couple of days. I like the light CZ-3d better. But, I am not finding anything old with the ID unit. And, when it comes to rusty nails, the new technology and the PI are both Iron Hungry!!!!!!!!
