Fisher Warranty Work

Hi all, just like to say a big thank you to Felix and his gang of merry technicians. I first sent back my Fisher F5 2 years ago to fix some problem, I can't remember what. Anyway they sent me a new control box and a new coil (because my old coil had a push in connector. December last year I had some issues again, ( I really work this detector) the push buttons were playing up. 3 weeks later it came back repaired and they sent a new coil with it as well. You cannot beat that service for an almost 5 year old machine. And a turn around time of about 3 weeks isn't bad considering that I'm down here in Melbourne Australia. Thanks Fisher. Ps. would I buy another Fisher?.... well I did, I bought the F2 as well. Cheers all, Shiraz.
PSS. Forgot to add that it was all done for free of course!

I had to send my f75 in a couple years ago, still barley under warranty. I sent a note in the box of what the problems were. The unit came back looking new. The did things to it I didn't even ask for...new face plate, battery compartment guts, headphone jack, updated program, coil jack.......very very pleased...above and beyond, I'd say.

I agree completely, 1st Texas in general has a very good service department. The turn around is right at 3 weeks and that is okay because it takes a week for UPS to deliver from where I live. I look at it this way, a 5 year warranty give the user time to really get to know the machine. Then when a new machine comes out, they are ready for the upgrade. I like to compare it to upgrading from the CZ3D to the F75, both great machines, but the F75 was able to re-hunt areas where the CZ had hunted out and find some fantastic relics and coins. These type of improvements keep loyal customers for life.

Mine came back looking like new. They went beyond what others wouldn't consider. I felt like I have a new detector. Great engineering, great tect. staff and a company that lets them go the extra mile. What a combination. It is kind of wierd in this world.
