WENT A LOCAL BEACH WITH THE CZ-20,FIRST TIME OUT WITH IT.DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WORTH FINDING,CANS ,:pulltab:,ANGLE-IRON,SCREW CAPS ALSO SOME NEEDED FISHING STUFF,LOTS OF LURES.MY SENS. WAS ON 3 MOVED IT TO 6------:surprised: STARTED HITTING TARGETS AT 12,14,INCHES HIT ONE AT 16" TOOK FOR EVER TO DIG IT IN THE WATER:thumbdown:THEN HIT ONE OVER 16" BURNIED MY SCOOP, STILL COULD NOT REACH IT???WHO KNOWS MAYBE ANOTHER BEER-CAN:cry:OH,WELL.

You have the 10" coil? I have the 8" coil on mine and always regretted getting the smaller coil. I know it does go deep! Even the 8". I don't use mine that often though as I really prefer the Exp II. However, when I'm working the bays or the weather is bad, I use the CZ.

I got a scoop that would get that deep target quick! :)
 
JOE,HAVE THE 8"COIL AND HANDLES WELL IN KNEE DEEP WATER,HAVE TO VENTURE A LITTLE DEEPER I GUESS?THIS BEACHES NOT TO POPULATED ,CANNOT FIND ANYTHING EXCEPT FISHING LURES(NICE ONES) AND FISHING STUFF.FOUND PIECE OF ANGLE IRON 16" DEEP ,HAD THE SENS. ON 6,BACK ED IT OFF TO 3 .THIS CZ-20 IS HOT----AIR TESTED 12" IN MY BACK YARD WITH A QUARTER.THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM ONLY USED IT TWICE AND IN MINT -CONDITION.WHEN I GOT IT THE WARRANTY PAPERS WERE STILL THERE!!!! HE NEVER MAILED THE WARRANTY:surprised:I FILLED IT OUT AND MAILED IT---NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM FISHER.:shrug:
 
ya'd think instead of burying them they could have spent less time digging by just tossing it in a trash bin. Those deep cans aren't fun to dig but you have to just to make sure it isn't something better that you would have missed if you left it there.

When I get a signal that doesn't come out by the 3rd scoop I raise the loop off the bottom and if it still gets a good signal at about 2ft above the sand I figure it is a can or something not worth digging. Got tired of digging cans too.
