went to bonsteel park today, heavy sanded in, seen there was a cut starting, but the county brought in bulldozers to fill it in.
the sand they used was not beach sand, it was more like cocina rock.i think this shows that the state does not want treasure found here.
went farther north still sanded in, lots of people but no gold, it stinks you cant go in the water. ol well still fun getting to go play. by the way
chucks steakhouse is now a church, funny how 4 years after the hurricanes thing change.

Thanks for the update. We did so well on the Treasure Coast last year it is sad to hear of the current state of the beaches. I guess what we need is a real good storm.

Chuck's Steakhouse is a Nature Sanctuary and not a church. The county put up a new building and used the old foundation of Chuck's. I was there just a few weeks ago.

It is near the Mclarty treasure museum. The museum has some info on where treasure is being found and is worth going there to get the history of the area. It costs a buck to go.

Did not find anything on the beaches at all. Not even clad. The beaches were empty and not productive at all. Come on Storms. We need the rain!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reports on the Treasure Coast beaches. Sorry to hear you had no luck Steve. My wife is headed back down there next week. It is disappointing to hear of the poor conditions, especially since we did so well last year. I guess the only hope is for some good storms. :surrender:

Check the weather guys. They are having 25 knot north east winds with gusts to 30 and up to 11 foot seas right now. Im sure it is shredding the beaches up. There have been NE winds all week.

Thanks for the weather report. My wife is headed down with her detector. I am headed the other way to Calif. Wish I was going south instead.
