For GTI 2500 Users ..... A "Tip"

If you are hunting in discriminate mode (coins, relics, jewellery etc) and you get an iffy signal, deep and and that ID cursor sometimes going to the coins area, quickly flip over to true all metal mode and see where it ID's on the screen. If it reads in the iron range, it's probably junk. If it reads in the coins area on the screen, and is size "B" or size "C".....dig it! It could be a nice old silver or copper coin.

The TRUE ALL METAL MODE seems to do an excellent job separating old coins from the junk.

Hey thanks for the tip John.:detecting: I'm gonna have to check that out the next time I'm using one of the imaging search coils.:wiggle:

Nice tip John.Shame I can't do that with the 1500. I've heard about that with a couple of different detectors.
