How does the modification that you do to a White's Surfmaster PI compare to a brand new White's PI Pro as far as depth and sensitivity??
Does the age of the Surfmaster PI matter? In other words-could you moddify a 10 yr old Surfmaster and make it work as well as some other high end PI units?
Also, this may be difficult for you to answer unbiasedly, but personally, if using in saltwater and looking for gold rings, would you prefer a Garrett Infinium to either of the above machines?
