First off, I am not in the same league as the likes of mudpuppy, Del and a number of other good clad hunters, but I do enjoy doing a few swings over chip lots, school yards and the like from time to time. Today ended up being one of those times. The forecast for today and tomorrow called for on and off rain showers, one of which was taking place when I first looked out the window early this morning. Consequently, rather then take the drive to the woodlands I opted to hit some tot lots and sport fields within 15 minutes or so of the house. The first wood chip lot located in a modern park yielded the gold chain beside a slide. The ring came from close to some swings and was probably lost when mom was pushing her tot on the swing. Along the way got a few pieces of clad and cents as well as the hot wheels car. The next wood chip spot yielded 1 thin dime and a zincer. The last one that I hit did yield 2 quarters and a couple of cents just before another shower set in. Rather then wait it out, I went to house and made a batch of spaghetti sauce for my bride and my dinner tonight. Once this task was completed the rain had stopped so headed out to a soccer field. That Particular field had a few more targets, clad and cents, and that is where I dug the Grim Reaper medal, some junk jewelry, 2 bullets and a bird shot shell case. All in all, some jewelry finds and enough other items along with some clad a cents to have made the hunts interesting. Hopefully you northern gals and guys can get a weather break and get some hunting in. Oh, the ring, chain and medal are all JUNK!!!! All 3, though, did get my attention right off. Peace everybody.
