I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way but are those the only silver coins, and indian heads, and wheaties you have found with the Deleon? I only ask because I was considering the Deleon for a silver coin detector.

Nope that is only a few of this years finds I have dug many more silver coins over the the years and the DeLeon goes very deep on silver

That's one Tesoro I have not tried.
I have read that it is a decent detector hunting for Canadian coins as well.
Hmmm hope I'm not catching what Skiwhiz has..............

I never tried a Deleon, but I've read that they are super deep in good soil.

Those pictures are inspiring. I'll be out swinging for gold jewelry tomorrow.:detecting:

Hey Jason, won't hurt to try one. If you do and don't like it, you can sell the Deleon to me to try.
I already tried the ID Edge, F5, Omega, Delta and did not really find them any better than the Tesoro in the soils I was hunting the past several years.
Kept the Delta for my wife even tho she's not too fond of it. Maybe can convince her to sell it and put the cash towards the Deleon...........so I can play with it?

I made a trade several years back for a DeLeon. Traded a Prizm IV which was okay, but just didn't suit me. I was thinking at the time that I might rather have a Cortes, but the price was right and I wanted to try the D. I'm glad I did because it's become one of my favorite detectors and has done me quite well. I do hunt in forgiving ground most of the time so that isn't an issue whereas for some it may be. Later, I did pick up a Cortez which you can ground balance in all metal, which is better than nothing, if you run into mineralization. I'd like the C to have a larger display, but all in all, both machines have worked well for me and work better than several other tid machines I've used.

I blame it on the Canadian in me :poke:, I am half Canadian you know, my Dad was from Morrisburg,Ontario Canada.

I've had both the deleon and cortes both great machines but really prefer the deleon have had 7 of them and due to one thing or another have always had to sell even had a 12 x 10 SEF coil on one ran pretty good for the most part even did a little prospecting with the 4" coil on a river i really like is Tesoro's all metal threshold just wish there was a way to put in a manual ground in disc mode but really there a great machine!

I am getting one for sure Sven, I've been reading on them a lot lately. I have my Coinstrike up on a few sites for sale or trade right now as a matter of fact.
