For those who have switched to teknetics what are your thoughts???

Been thinking of picking up the Omega with 11" DD coil option. I am not really partial to any specific brand machines but I do like certain models from a few different manufactorer. My questions are as follows:

What did you previously use for metal detecting and why do you prefer the Teknetics you use currently??
Is the 11" DD coil that much better than the 10" oblong concentric???
How is your depth compared to what you previously used on your old detector??
Is it true the Delta is just as deep as an Omega??

I like the T2 ltd Camo, I have used a lot of detectors and this one runs stable and deep, not a lot of EMI issues with this one. Took it out for a short hunt this morning and enjoyed every minuet.

I have the Omega 8000 with all three coils and it works great, other detectors ive used, whites eagle and xlt, fisher f-4, whites 6000 di, liked all the detectors but I wanted some thing lighter and the Omega works good for a bad shoulder.
Deeper, well Im not saying one machine is any deeper than the other, I do like the 11 DD coil better than the 10" and I use the 5" alot to, Ive read alot where guys hit coins at 12 to 15" Ive never seen it and Ive been detecting for along time, when I look for a detector its not all about the depth, I want a machine that will find good targets in iron and in trash because I feel thats where the good targets are.
So far for me, the Omega has done a great job, no I havent dug any coins at 12" but I have dug alot of good coins and rings in trash and iron that I missed with other detectors, it dosent matter what the detector costs or how many great reviews it gets, it all comes down to knowing what the detector is trying to tell you and thats why I like the Omega, the tones make sense to me and that means I find more good targets.

I have the Omega, along with several other different brands of detectors. I'm very happy with the Omega and agree with pitcher in what he says. The Omega is a versatile machine, and having numerical target ID in all metal makes it great for working beaches....the three coils make it even more versatile.

Depends on application. In general, yes.

How is your depth compared to what you previously used on your old detector??
Depth is about the same as using 12" sef on f2. Target ID and around Iron is light years better so effective depth is about 2" deeper.

Is it true the Delta is just as deep as an Omega??
In an air test, yes. They are the same platform.
In the ground, no. Omega has ground balance, finer sensitivity adjustment, and increase threshold to make it perform in ground 1-2" deeper.
I have both. All metal (A1 on delta) are pretty much equal with the Omega giving better TID. Dare I say delta all metal(A1) may even be a little deeper. (but noisier and not control over threshold)
