Thought y'all might be interested in a website that reviews current movies. It's pluggedin.com and it's affiliated with Focus on the Family. I use this site often...it's really useful because it gives a detailed review based on language, violence and spiritual content. We have made a pledge to stop watching R-rated movies, but find a lot of PG and PG-13 movies to be questionable. I ALWAYS check this out before taking Loren to the movie theatre.

I have been using that web site for years. Mentioned it here before, but with all the newbies, thanks for sharing it.

I even check the movies I watch on TV whether they have a rating or not! Some have nice plots, but being bloody and gory, bad language or bedroom scenes make them unwatchable for me! I like the 50 and 60's movies....the scenes, colors and clothes are beautiful and worth watching, even though I've seen many of them before, I have forgotten many of them, so they are new again for me with my memory failing like it is! :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks Liz. I've heard of it before but haven't gone there to review movies before watching them. That may help me with movies on Netflix? They have their own review but it's customer based and who knows what values the customers possess.

Your memory seems pretty sharp to me, Ma! I like a lot of the older movies too. We've always watched a lot of Hallmark movies, but even they are questionable sometimes. It gets very irritating.

SS, We had Netflix for quite awhile and I never put too much faith in the reviews they listed. Most of the reviews on plugged in are for movies less than a year old, so it would help on some of the new releases on Netflix!

Thanks, Liz, concerning my memory, but believe it is really bad too often! I think there were a couple of the HallMark movies I questioned also but most of them are good! I like the Love Comes Softly and others in that series....really, really good Christian movies! I don't watch a lot, though, because of my eyes getting too tired and mostly I just listen! I used to listen to the radio all the time while I did my other work and now I listen halfway while on the Computer....just to not have the house so quiet! One time when I was a lot younger and doing house work on the days I didn't have to work that night, a man came to the door wanting to sell me something, can't remember any more, but I told him I didn't have time with whatever it was, and he said well you are watching TV aren't you (the old black & white) and I just looked at him and said I a, listening and not watching! :) I guess he figured if I had time to watch TV than I would have time for something else, but being a cleaning nut back then, I listened more than I ever watched and worked out of the home, too! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
