Kent County - here in Western Michigan - is building a 'New Park' called 'Millennium Park', with swimming beaches, picnic grounds, and several 'Tot Lots'. There's also several places to fish, which makes nearly everyone happy. The 'Clock Tower' is the main building. Unfortunately we're allowed to metal detect only 5 days at the close of the swimming season. I'm sure that was the 'Brain Child' of some misguided county commissioner. I found out 'too late' that a women lost her wedding ring on the beach and reported it but the park people said they didn't know what they could do for her. I just about lost it! We probably could have found it and save her a lot of grief and made the park guys look good in the process.
