Found-1900 IH...

In my back yard of all places.Just got my explorer XS back from the shop and decided to try it in the backyard.Oldest coin Ive found in the past was a 1935 quarter.I was using Charles's Rock Solid Setup as taken from the " Use The Minelab Explorer Like A Pro" website. The IH gave a good signal but ID'd far to the left and was around 5 inches deep.I was shocked to find one as I rarely do and my back yard was the last place I expected to find one.The ground is a little softer in some places now and full of iron junk.I had switched from Ferrous back to Conduct and proceded to tear up my back yard digging rusty iron that wanted to sound like a coin.Maybe I should have stayed with Ferrous?? Anyway, thats the only coin I found and it may not be a big deal to most folks but it sure was a thrill to me to dig and gave me some confidence in the Explorer. Thanks to Charles for his program.

i hunt in Conduct only but some here love Ferrous. Depends on what you want to hear and what works best for your ears.
HH!

Thanks, do you think detecting in Conduct tends to give more false coin signals in with the iron vs Ferrous? Guess I will have to experiment more. Thanks to Bing for taking the time to set up that useful Explorer web site

probably does but I don't mind digging occasional iron as you never know what type of relic might be
giving that signal.

I tryed to find the program of Charles you mention but no luck Help more info.
