Found a 705 in stock

Larry at NWI got one in, and now it has my name on it. I'll have to read Digger's e-book several times before I get it figured out -- I date to the early 1950s and have trouble just answering a cell phone. That said, I think the Minelab and I will have a "beautiful friendship" as Bogie said to Claude Rains in "Casablanca." Good times ahead!

Excellent news Bill!

You'll be just fine.
I'm old enough to hate cell phones too, but this machine is very giving. It won't overwhelm you and will find good stuff while you're in the process of learning it.

I got Marsha's at colonial metal detectors 2 weeks ago. They had 6 at that time. Now I just gotta get her to not work so much so she can get out and use it.

Congrats Bill, I just got one today. A dealer here in Montana had one in stock and I snagged it. I am 1948 vintage myself but I think the 705 is very easy to understand. Don't know about mastering it tho.

Thanks gang. Seems like a small handful of 705s dribbled in to the dealer network. I'm lucky to have found one of them! First accessory will be the 6-inch HF DD coil.

One theory I heard is that Minelab is shipping so many Xterras to Africa for gold prospecting that the North America supply has dwindled.

I saw a couple in stock at Cabelas the other day. If you have a Cabelas near you, call them and ask.
