Found a Buffalo today

DK

Went out in the backyard and detected in the snow. Got a good signal on high sensitivity. Dug up a 1924 Buffalo. Tried taking a good picture, but would not come out very well.

Nice coin, great job :beers:

Glad it is a Buffalo coin and not the real buffalo, as it might have lowered it's head and charged you! Just kidding, nice old nickel indeed! :) Congrats! May God Bless! Ma Betty

Did not do much cleaning. Washed it off and paper toweled it. Hopefully I can go out sometime the next couple of days and check the yard some more. I figure with the freeze and thaw we have had the last week or so it may have moved some stuff around. I had ran this area near our back door several times. Found a 1922 wheatie some months ago, but had missed any good signals until today.

Congrats on the cool find - or should I say, COLD find! When I read the subject line, I thought there for a minute that you had found a real buffalo.
