I detected today at an old fairground site about 20 miles west from where I live. Dan Clark from the forum was there for a little while and showed me the good old areas to try. He had other plans to detect somewhere else for the day. I stayed there for 4 hours and hit a lot of different areas. I found this as I was getting ready to leave for the day. It was where I had originally parked my car earlier in the day. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> . Down around 7 inches and gave a nice signal. About the only good clear signal of the day, besides an indian head earlier in the day.
My 2nd one of the year. Cool. 3rd ever.

Also found this rough shape 1899 Canadian dime. Man, I sure have found a lot of Canadian coins this year.

Here is a lone indian head I found. It was only 4 inches down. Nice shape but for the blob over the date. 1886.

It was great weather today in southern lower Michigan. Mid 50s. Fun to get out in Nov. and find some cool old coins.
Here they are before cleaning them up.

Jim, Very nice finds and great job of detecting.
HH, Cody

did all those gazillions of metal detectorists miss that 50 cent coin? That is unbelievable!

...It was next to the roadway in the park. Sounded off nice. Must be the power of the explorer?? Or just dumb luck. Probably the latter. Jim
