Found a heavy ring a few weeks ago under some rocks at the shore's edge....this ring was so heavily tarnished..that I couldn't figure out the metallic

took it to the jeweler's...

After he was able to remove the heavy tarnish, the diagnosis : Silver

I can't figure out how he was able to get down to the silver...I tell you I have always been able to clean tarnish off silver rings, but I couldn't do a thing with this ring...it looked black to me..and I had finally concluded ( erroneously) that it just might be made of Tungsten Carbide....

I am fortunate;

The Jeweler who I am always visiting with my "finds" charged me nothing for sending it out to be analyzed, cleaned and polished;

I , in turn brought the staff home- made strawberry/blueberry/walnut cake.


What a way to do business! :jump:
