Found a Hobo Nickel today

I dug this guy out of a local park this morning. Hobos would take a knife and change the indian into other faces. Then they would sell them or trade them.I think this is the most common type, turning the indian into a hobo with a derby.

Never heard of them either until your find - really neat.
Apparently there's even an organization even dedicated to them and some carvers continuing the craft today.
