,,,,, just my luck. Its been hit by the roto tiller and the lawn mower.

Its a 1942 Australia silver three pence. And why would anyone put 2 holes in a coin? Did they need a button? Just got home and decided to look it up ,,,and found out it is a rare coin. Too Bad its in such bad shape. Here's a link to a site for this coin if you care to look. http://www.cruzis-coins.com/Threepence/1942m.html

Also took the Ace for a walk on the beach yesterday. Nothin real good but enough to keep a guy going. The 2 ear rings are very close to the same but not quite. I believe they are silver.

Still a nice find flash!!:detecting:

I agree!:biggrin:Nice finds, nonetheless!:clapping:Thanks for sharing!:bouncy:Happy Hunting!:)

Can it be repaired? I have seen that certain valuable rare coins have and can be repaired and retain value if done profesionaly

Thanks everyone. The ace is working working well for me.
I do agree it is better to have found a bent up ,holed coin than to have not.
I made a mistake . I looked at the coin and did not see any mint mark not really knowing where it is located. Thats what makes it rare.

I have been serching the web and just seen that the mint mark is located right where one of them holes are. Oops, I jumped the gun a little on this one.
