Well went out again today... 2nd time. I was hoping to find some jewelry today under/near a playground and I didn't manage to find any. I did find 11 cents under there though, and a piece of sequence 8 inches down! Ive really gotta read up on this whole tuning stuff out lol the pull tabs and aluminum are killing me. Anyhooo, my wife called and asked if I was lost, so I think that translates "you should be home by now", so I took quick walk back to the car (45 minutes) detecting along the way and there it was... my first piece of jewelry. It was great to find something pretty.

[attachment 155580 IMG_8633.JPG] Not sure if its worth anything, but it has a stamp that says 525 on the back. Im pretty sure that means its silver. Guess I'll find out at some point.

God Bless and thanks for letting me share.

Nice one. And yes I think that translate into get yourself home or no supper for you.

Keep at it. The more you hunt the more you will find. Keep playing with the detector and you will learn the ins and outs of it. Sometimes you have to dig the good and the bad. You will dig a lot of junk as you detect, but you will find lots of treasure too. Keep on posting your finds.

Nice find, sunbeard! And ya better get home on time for supper or go to bed without it!  Hope you get to go :detecting: when you can and find lots and lots of hidden treasure when you get going with that detector! Get lots of practive, be patient and persevere and you'll have lots to keep and post pics of! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

It is likely 925 and yes that means sterling! :) WTG!

S - Nice find. If the stamp is 585 then it is 14 Karat gold. Check it well with a magnifier if necessary. steve in so az

Its 525 whether I look at it right side up or upside down  Not sure what that means in terms of worth, I cant seem to find info on what the 925's and the 525's etc mean.
Steve, I wish it said 585. I'd love to find gold. I guess if I dont find it in this life then the next to come it'll be all over the place eh?
