It pays to hold on to your finds until you get home, went to the beach on Thursday and worked the slopes at low tide, didn't find much,a couple quarters, pinnies, dimes, silver charm, copper ring and some odd stuff.(junk) but when i went through my junk, i found a strange piece of metal, that i remember rang in just above nickel. so i cleaned it up, to find out it was a GOLD crown from a tooth, it's almost the size of a dime, weight in at 2.3 grams. LMAO! So don't toss your junk metal, until you get home and clean it up. ACE does it again!

Great tip...... Now i wonder if i can detect
the grass around my Dentists office???

Or maybe just probe with the Propoijnter while hes working!!!!

Nice find. I have a couple of those I found, once when I was field testing a gold detector for Tesoro. Gold is gold.
