Found lots of shiny stuff today (lots of pics)

I spent 6.5 hours hunting around an 1879 vintage home today. I've hunted it one other time finding 2 silvers and a gold ring besides lots of wheats. I've had a few other dissapointing hunts lately so I was overdue for this one.

After I had found 2 silvers, I decided it might be a good day and grabbed the camera for hopefully some action shots. Sorry about the blurry photos on some of them.

This was the 3rd silver of the day. See the reeded edge.

I also picked up one last Merc for 5 silver for the day. Here's everybody together. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, my 1st coin of the day was the 1922-S Peace dollar in the center. My 1st silver dollar find!! :jump: The token is a Cracker Jack FDR token. The ring is Odd Fellows but not precious metal. The gold thing appears to be gold plated. 12 wheats, 5 clad dimes, 2 clad quarters, 18 mem pennies, 1 Canadian 1954 penny that was in the hole with the dollar.

All in all a good day. Here are the silvers cleaned up.

I bet you just about had a heart attack when you seen that Silver Dollar come out of the ground! Those sure look pretty when you first see them. They look HUGE! in the bottom of a hole. I found my first Silver Dollar last year. Mine was a 1901-O Morgan. You did very well today and I hope you find more of that Shiny Stuff in that yard! Congrats and HH!

awesome finds I love your pics I am just drinking my coffee and I am going out my self to liberate some silver from oppression. Around here the soil is black and when silver comes out it is a savery moment.

... how the heck did you almost forget about the Peace dollar? :D Congrats!

James,
It's funny that I was in no big hurry to go back to this yard. I even on this day drove by it to go to a school, which I did get permission on, but couldn't hunt today because it was being used. I drove around looking for other sites to get permission on and none struck my fancy so I ended back up here. This site produced OK finds last year but not 5 silvers or I'd have run back to it right away. To boot, the owner is very friendly and will walk out with a drink in his hand for you and talk a while. He made lunch for me and my hunting buddy last year. I have some more ground to cover here but it's not the prime real estate.

if I'd known I was going to pop a dollar out, I'd have had the camera around my neck for the photo op. But since I didn't have it yet, all I could do was crap my pants  so I did. I almost ran back to the car to get it but the moment was past and I didn't want to "pose" the dollar for the pic. I sure was confused about what it was until I got enough dirt off. I first thought it was a WL Half.
