We found this lucky charm on Saturday on the east side of Spokane, thru web search and census records we found the owner lived and worked in Spokane around the turn of the century around 1897.
With some luck and further research we were able to find Mr. Nestos final resting place(may he rest in peace). A beautiful cemetery about an hour north of Spokane.
Today after consulting with my wife, we decided to return the item to its owner. We made the scenic drive and with care and respect we placed the item in the ground next to its owner.
As a token of frienship we included a Walking Liberty coin and a potted clover plant. We felt a connection with this person we never met, as coincidence would have it we happenned to live in the exact same house he did nearly 100 yrs ago.
This hobby pays off in more ways than one.
Happy hunting and enjoy the fresh air!
