Wow! I cannot believe it. The same 1910 home that I detected at found my second thimble and it is not destroyed! It has the initials RJB on it. Dont know if this one is silver as well. I also found a very cool vintage miniture lock skeleton padlock! I’m getting closer to finding a skeleton key! The markings on it show The Bristol Co Waterbury CT. I also found what might be a gold earring. I also found a Wm Rogers and Sons AA vintage teaspoon. It might be silver plated. This is the same home that I found the 1782 Spanish 1 Reale. Funny thing is I never found any other old coin. I love this home! I also forgot to mention that I found an antique pill box. No, there was no money inside it, I love this hobby!

Ya just have to love the little pieces of someone's life a long time ago. Each item has a story and reason to have been owned. Keep looking, perhaps one more piece will fill in a puzzle scene!!

Explorer, you've got a great site to work. Keep on digging! I, like most diggers, enjoy the really personal items we dig. A real snapshot of real people. Wouldn't you love to be able to take a peek at how this family lived? You do have the next best thing.
Hi Wild Willy yes I would. These items do paint a picture. I’ll go back to it soon to remove another layer of stuff.

Nice to find a thimble that is not mashed and a silver one too!!!
The only ones I have found are mashed and not silver.
What is the box looking item
at the top of the photo? Looks like some designs on it….
Hi Fwcrawford it appears to be a pill box as I opened it I saw a bunch of crushed powder leading me to believe it’s a pill box. I was hoping I’d find a coin or two. Lol!
